Raker Architects has done some site feasibility work with
REI over the years and was asked to help with the interiors
of the Berkeley Store. We consulted on the exterior design
and on the interiors. REI Facilities Planners did the
majority of the space planning and finishes in house as
we helped with the heavy architectural work. We upgraded
the mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems. We also
helped with interior space planning and circulation. We
coordinated the work of the structural engineer on the
foundations and structure for the climbing wall installation.
We also designed the check out counters and consulted
on accessibility issues. |
